Odiba Okpanachi Solomon is an experienced Finance, Logistics, and Administration Officer with a robust background in managing financial operations, procurement, and administrative functions. He possesses many years of progressive experience across finance and administration and internal audit in both the public and private sectors. Odiba is skilled in budgeting, financial analysis, and expense monitoring to ensure optimal resource allocation. He is proficient in preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and implementing cost-saving measures.

Odiba is adept at streamlining administrative processes, organizing documentation, and ensuring regulatory compliance. He demonstrates excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Detail-oriented and results-driven, he is committed to maintaining accuracy and integrity in all tasks. Odiba is ready to contribute to and drive efficiency in a dynamic organizational environment.

He holds an M.Sc. in Accounting from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, and a B.Sc. in Accounting from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), along with various certifications from both online and in-person learning platforms. He is also a student member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Murtala Muhammed

Senior Program and Finance Associate, Health and Social Inclusion

Murtala Muhammed is a seasoned professional with over nine years of experience in program management and finance. He currently leads the Health and Social Inclusion department at CISLAC, where he oversees the strategic direction and implementation of donor-funded projects. Holding an MSc in Economics and a chartered accountant designation from ICAN, Murtala brings a robust analytical and financial acumen to his role. His expertise lies in designing, managing, and monitoring complex programs, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and achieving measurable outcomes.

Murtala has a proven track record in successfully implementing various donor-supported projects within CISLAC, demonstrating his ability to navigate complex environments and deliver results. His deep understanding of financial management and compliance enables him to provide strategic financial guidance to the department.

OGBIMI Eloho Bertha

Senior Program 

Peace, Security, Migration, and IDPs Department

In addition to an ongoing Master’s in Business Administration, from the University of Abuja Business School, she holds a Masters Degree in Gender Security Studies and Youth Advancement, the University of Abuja; a Post Graduate Degree in Administration, from the University of Abuja; and a Degree in Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan.  also hold a Certificate in Leadership from the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development (Centre LSD Leadership School), Abuja.

Ms. Bertha is a Senior Programme Officer at the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC), Chapter of Transparency International Nigeria, and has worked progressively in the peace and security department for seven years and counting.

Ms. Bertha Manage/implement the Transparency International Defense and Security Project, Open Society Africa Project, as well as other security-related projects in my organization. I also partake in the development of proposals for funding opportunities and conduct operational oversight of projects under my supervision to ensure they achieve their goals and objectives.

She has participated in, conducted, and facilitated various training, seminars, and workshops on peace, security, conflict resolution, budgeting, transparency, and accountability in defense management across Nigeria and Africa. I volunteer as the secretary of the National Platform on Women and Security Sector Reform and Governance whose Regional Office is situated in Dakar, Senegal. The Nigerian Army Resource Centre trained me on Enhancing Civil Military Relations between the Nigerian Army and Civil Society, and a Faculty Member at the Women Only Training Programme on Understanding and Monitoring Civil-Military Relations in Nigeria.

Recently (July 10th), Ms. Bertha was a panelist at the virtual side event from United Nations High-Level Political Forum 2024 organized by Transparency International Defence and Security, themed: The World at a Crossroads – Integrating Governance, Peace and Security Pillars of SDG 16. Ms. Bertha loves Listening to good music, traveling, and connecting with like minds.

Bathsheba Tagwai, Program Manager and Senior Legal Officer:  A lawyer with over fourteen (14) years post-call to bar experience working in the public sector as well as civil society and a member of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA). She is responsible for managing the implementation of anti-corruption and human rights projects implemented by CISLAC as well as the Advocacy and Legal Advice Centre (ALAC). 

Maryam Madi Abubakar

 Assistant Programme Officer

Ms. Maryam currently pursuing a Masters in Defence and Strategic Studies at the Nigerian Defence Academy, while also holding a bachelor’s degree in education English from Northwest University and a certificate in Computer Studies. She is an Assistant Program Officer at CISLAC and has actively promoted transparency and accountability in the peace and security sector since November 2023. Her primary responsibilities include administrative planning, coordination, and logistics for various projects, including the Transparency International Defence and Security Project, Open Society Africa Project, GIABA/ECOWAS project, and other security-related initiatives.

Ms. Maryam gained valuable experience in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and defense and security issues through her involvement in these projects. She also had the opportunity to participate in numerous training programs and workshops to enhance my knowledge and skills in these areas.

In addition to her professional pursuits, she loves doing research, traveling, and contributing to peacebuilding efforts

Solomon Adoga is a graduate of English and Literature from the University of Maiduguri. Solomon demonstrates a high level of passion for learning and improving. He joined CISLAC in 2015 as an Intern and has risen over the years to his current position garnering experience in project management and resource mobilization. Solomon has also acquired valuable sector-specific certifications including the prestigious Corruption Risk Assessment certification from the Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria as well as being a certified monitor from the African Centre for Tobacco Industry Monitoring and Research in Pretoria, South Africa. Solomon has worked on programs supported by notable international partners including the MacArthur Foundation, Transparency International, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, OXFAM, National Democratic Institute, Tax Justice Network Africa, African Capacity Foundation etc.

Legal & Program Associate (Anti-Corruption & Public
Finance Management/ALAC Department).

Onyinyechi Amy Onwumere holds a Master’s  Degree in International Commercial Law from Brunel University London, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public International Law from the University of Abuja, Nigeria. She also has Certifications in areas such as – Key Essentials: Sustainable Development Goals and the Law (University of Cambridge, United Kingdom); Leading Change Through Policymaking (British Council); and Governance in Conflict States (United States Institute of Peace). With Seven (7) years of work experience in the Development Sector providing program and communication support, Amy has implemented projects supported by major and notable international partners such as the MacArthur Foundation, Transparency International, European Union, USAID, National Democratic Institute NDI, etc. that focus on good governance, social inclusion and access to justice. In addition, Amy is passionate about causes in human rights promotion and volunteers her skills in such areas during her spare time.

Sulaiman Mande

Suleiman A. Mande is a graduate of BSc. Ed/ Geography
from Bayero University Kano (B.U.K), he holds an MSc in GIS and Remote Sensing from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (A.B.U). Suleiman A. Mande demonstrates a high level of passion for learning and improving in areas of democratic governance, human rights, anti-corruption and the rule of law, security and defense, environment, and conservation of nature/ climate change for overall personal and professional growth and development. 

Suleiman A. Mande joined CISLAC in 2021 as an Intern and has risen over the years to his current position as a Program Officer improving through experience in project management, democracy and good governance policy advocacy resource mobilization, climate and environmental conservation of nature, anti-corruption, monitoring & evaluation.

Suleiman Mande has also acquired valuable sector-specific certifications including being certified as an international election Observer by the West Africa Election Observation Network (WAEON) in Accra, Ghana, he is a Tobacco control advocate, good governance and democracy advocate.

Suleiman Mande has worked on programs supported by notable international partners including the European Union, USAID, Transparency International (TI), MacArthur Foundation, OXFAM, National Democratic Institute, Tax Justice Network Africa (TJNA), West Africa Election Observation Network (WAEON) the West Africa Democracy Solidarity Network (WADEMOS), Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) Ghana, Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) Nigeria.

Abdullahi Sambo

Communication Officer

Abdullahi Aliyu Sambo is a highly skilled professional with a diverse background in communication technology and information systems management. He is a Certified JAVA Programmer from SUN Microsystems Malaysia and a certified cybersecurity expert. Abdullahi is also a recognized digital management content creator and an expert in The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing. With valuable experience as a Business Development Service Provider, Abdullahi brings multifaceted capabilities to his role. His expertise extends to web development, website management, social media marketing, graphic design, and information systems management. As the Communication officer at CISLAC, Abdullahi plays a crucial role in shaping the organization’s communication strategy. He is responsible for creating compelling communication content and building and maintaining relationships with journalists and other media professionals. His duties also include coordinating press conferences, media briefings, and interviews.
Abdullahi excels in producing multimedia content such as videos, infographics, and podcasts, ensuring that CISLAC’s message reaches a wide audience. He creates engaging and informative articles, reports, and other written materials while ensuring effective internal communication. He also plays a pivotal role in distributing internal newsletters, updates, and announcements, facilitating communication between different departments and teams. In his role, Abdullahi oversees event planning and coordination, advocacy campaigns, and media relations, contributing significantly to CISLAC’s mission and goals. His dedication and expertise make him an invaluable asset to the organization.

Halima Shehu

Communication Officer

Shehu Halima works as a communication officer, using her skills in effective communication experience to improve organizational messaging and stakeholder engagement. In addition to her professional responsibilities, Miss Shehu Halima graduated from Maryam Abacha American University in the Niger Republic with a degree in international relations. And now she’s pursuing an MSc in International Relations and Diplomacy at Nile University in Nigeria, which will help her understand global events and diplomatic practices. This dual duty displays a commitment to bridging communication barriers both inside and outside of her company, resulting in a more connected and knowledgeable community.

 

Naja’atu Mohammed

Assistant Finance and Admin Officer 2

Naja’atu Mohammed brings a wealth of expertise in computer proficiency, international standard communication fluency, entrepreneurial orientation, research, and conflict resolution to her role as the Assistant Finance Officer at CISLAC. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Risk Management, Ms. Naja’atu demonstrates a strong commitment to professional growth and development. In her capacity as Assistant Finance Officer, Ms. Naja’atu is integral to the transaction processing activities at CISLAC. She supports all staff in the preparation of monthly timesheets in accordance with donor requirements, prepares payment requests and memos, and manages cash and bank operations. Her meticulous approach ensures accurate reporting, including the filing of receipts from BDC and signed FX committee negotiation forms. Additionally, she is always ready to undertake any duties required by the finance department, showcasing her versatility and dedication to the organization’s financial integrity 

 

Rindi Lohor Godsave

Assistant Admin Officer 

Rindi Godsave Lohor graduated from the University of Jos, Plateau State in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education and Social Studies. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Security and Strategic Studies at Keffi, Nasarawa State. In September 2022, she completed a course in Project Management in Global Health from the University of Washington and furthered her expertise in 2023 by studying Policy Development and Advocacy in Global Health, also at the University of Washington. Additionally, she holds a certification from the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).

Rindi began her career at CISLAC as an intern and, through her hard work and dedication, was promoted to the position of Assistant Admin Officer. She currently serves as the Front Desk Officer at CISLAC. In her roles, Rindi is responsible for receiving incoming letters, arranging for the dispatch of letters, taking care of office properties and equipment, and handling various office administration duties.

Her journey at CISLAC highlights her commitment and growth within the organization, making her a valued member of the team.

 

Falmata Baba Lawan

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Falmata Baba Lawan is an M&E Officer with over 2 years of experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in medical Radiography from the University of Maiduguri (2018) and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public health at Ahmadu Bello University. She also has certificates in Project Management and Human Resource Management. Ms. Lawan has monitored and evaluated over 12 projects implemented by CISLAC, conducted baseline and outcome assessments for gender-based violence (GBV), and supported the restructuring of existing M&E plans for key projects within CISLAC. Additionally, she has developed monitoring tools for various departmental interventions.

 

Eneh Juliet Odinakachukwu

Assistant Program Officer

Eneh Juliet Odinakachukwu is an Assistant Program Officer under the Tax Justice, Environment, and Conservation of Nature department in CISLAC, with over three years of experience. She has contributed to the supervision of projects supported by national and international donor agencies. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Literary Studies from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (2021), and certification in UI/UX design showcasing her vast knowledge in project management, graphic designing, communication strategies, and techniques. She is technically inclined and has vastly improved the productivity of her team by implementing strategic project development techniques and methods to ensure a work-life balance is achieved under the Tax Justice, Environment, and Conservation of Nature department. She has successfully supervised and technically supported various projects, demonstrating flexibility, energy, creativity, dependability, hard work, and honesty.  She has a fair knowledge of the gender dynamics of the tax systems and policies and the ability to identify & address gender biases in tax administration and policy implementation.

 

Ayo Omowu

Ayo Omowu is  Technical Programme and Communications Specialist. Programme Lead on Tax Justice, Environment and Conversation of Nature Department.

Ayo is a sound development strategist with over 10 years of working experience delivering and coordinating high-impact developmental projects across Nigeria with a coverage of over 27 States and FCT-Abuja.

Ayo holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration BSc from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, and a certified member of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and also a member of the Technical Working Group of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA). He’s familiar with Oxfam, USAID, ActionAid, IOM, AGRA and ECOWAS systems in providing proficient, reliable, resourceful, administrative and professional communication and information system on policy review, program advocacy design on gender-blind tax systems, policies geared towards mitigating gender-biased issues in tax administration; While handling multiple concurrent tasks within strict periods and supporting wide range of multi-project influencing objectives in CISLAC with substantial experience working closely with partners and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and objective and running large projects, managing staff, providing high-level strategic programme support and team leadership and also developing and managing consortium relationships with visibility strategy  towards contributing to the implementation of national, regional and global networking, advocacy, campaigns, and activities on eradicating poverty and inequality through good governance, Climate adaptation systems/Climate Smart Agricultural Practices, implementing humanitarian and sustainable livelihood agriculture value chain projects, social accountability and transparency, with quality research experience working closely with INGO, Civil Society Organization, Tax Justice and Governance Platform, Private sector, Government ministries, media organizations and mobilization of active youth participation in governance and electoral practices, migration policy/migrant rights and illegal migration issues and inequality; creative problem-solving skills, and drive to advance welfare and quality of life with key interest in Youth Empowerment and SME development with the goal of creating jobs for young women and men across the continent
